Ashley and Jacob

22 Sep

What an awesome and memorable day for Jacob and Ashley.

My day with them started off at El Tres for a “first look”, then off to Waverly to meet with the family and wedding party for pictures, and finally off to Mt Baldy for the rest of the night.

It was such a hilarious day with this awesome couple, plus an amazing crowd including tons of old pals!

Natasha and Jeremy

24 Jul

A very intimate wedding at Mink Mountain Resort brought in a handful of out of towners to enjoy the sweet celebration on a piece of paradise on the north shore.  Their reception will follow in Winnipeg this fall.

Sophie & Calvin

4 Jul

This was a quaint, long weekend wedding at (my favourite venue in/around Thunder Bay) Rose Valley Lodge.

Calvin and Sophie were actually already married, but living in Toronto, they wanted celebrate with Calvin’s family back home, so they “re-wed” in Thunder Bay with closest family and friends.

When choosing a venue, the beauty of Rose Valley spoke to Sophie.  The scenery plus the added bonus of animals hangin out for the I do’s were a major selling feature.  I mean, I found a big pen of puppies while I was scoping out photo spots, so who couldn’t love this place?

The weather, food, music (Morning Light and Viva), and excitement to all be together celebrating made for a fantastic and beautiful evening to remember.

Wedding Planner: Maid for the Bride

Flowers: Velvet Rope Floral

Decor: Glamour and Glow Events

Venue: Rose Valley Lodge & Restaurant

Cake: Desserts Only

Enjoy the sneak peek!

The Rose Valley cake-cutting tradition

Leanna & Andrew

4 Sep

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending several hours with this couple and their family and friends around Mink Mountain Resort as they celebrated their marriage.

We got adventurous and went for quite the hike, getting to picturesque spots along Superior’s shore.

I’ve known Leanna for many, many years (our whole lives), she’s a fellow creative who runs Knotted Design out of Thunder Bay, click that link or this one to see her art and wedding invitation designs.  Their wedding favours for guests were original tiny paintings done by Leanna.

I loved being a part of their special day!
