Becky @ The Habit

15 Aug

This was the last styled shoot with Rebecca from Not Your Basic Becky before my gal moved to Montreal! First my fave makeup artist (Kimberly) moves to Toronto and now my favourite model is far far away. Local creatives GET AT ME if you want to work together! I love styled, fashion oriented shoots.

I’ve been shooting with Becky for years, and to date this has been our favourite shoot.  This in particular was an outfit inspo shoot styled by her.  She suggested Urban Abbey as a location. After already being in there myself to shoot a wedding and to check out The Habit for coffee I said yes yes yes.

Feeling the love

18 Feb

Hope everyone had a nice week! How many of you celebrated Valentine’s day?

This post is a little late, but I had to wait for Becky to share first!

If you follow the link above you can get some cutesy fashion advice from Becky, including what to wear, where to find it, and some tips on achieving a perfect red lip.

Holiday outfit inspiration

23 Dec

Becky from Not Your Basic Becky has some outfit inspiration for you over at her blog including where to shop (just click that link!) and I have a collection of images from our shoot.

Many thanks to the Chanterelle for letting us use their amazing space!

So whether you’re out partying or relaxing, enjoy the holidays. I hope you’re surrounded by those you love.  Merry Christmas from my family to yours!

Rebecca & Kamila

23 Jul

This was a more creative session — and I love doing sessions like these because I get to throw more of my artistic side into them.

We were so bug bitten.  I think over half the duration we were shooting we were screeching and flailing.  I had to edit bugs and/or bug bites out of EVERY single frame.  No foolin’!

Enjoy this set – these gals are just lovely and Kamila actually made those beautiful floral crowns herself with fleurs from her garden!

Rebecca – Model

21 Jul

Rebecca is working on putting a portfolio together, so we shot for fun today.  I have to thank her for giving me a great reason to get into my studio!  It was tons of fun, can’t wait to do it again!  Both dresses I believe are from Lux Boutique.

Melissa McCartney ~ Designer

23 Jun

Mel is a recent graduate from Fanshawe College (same school I went to) and here are some pieces from her collection!  I was pumped to do this shoot with her because I haven’t photographed any fashion since before I graduated a year ago!
